I do a lot of Disney dreaming. I mean a lot. When work gets rough, the weather turns sour, my thoughts turn to Disney for answers. When I get bored at work, I plan fictitious trips. When I reminiscence it is centered around Disney.
Let's explore my life through Disney:
Age 4- My first Disney vacation. Honestly I cannot tell you when it was exactly. According to the old photo album it happened before my 5th birthday. I remember that EPCOT was being built at the time. Also I remember riding Peter Pan's Flight with my Mom, and riding Dumbo with my Grandfather. My teenage sisters never stayed with the family. They told me terrifying things about the Haunted Mansion. I couldn't even walk past the place. Come-on! Ghosts ride in your Doom Buggy! That's freaking scary!
Age 23- I returned to Disney World with my Mom and Dad, my oldest sister, Gayle, and her husband. My middle sister, Jennifer, decided not to go because she thought she was too pregnant to travel. The goal of this trip was to celebrate my Mom's 60th birthday. Once again I was able to ride Peter Pan Flight with her. Gayle and her husband were picked to test ride Rock n Roll Roller Coaster before it opened. My sister just happened to be a big Aerosmith fan.
Age 30- I returned to Disney World with my new family. This time we were celebrating my Mother and Sister's Life. She passed away the year before from ovarian cancer. Shortly after her death Gayle died from an epileptic seizure. My sister, Jennifer felt like it was time for our family to do something fun. Joining us on this trip was my Dad, his new girlfriend, her son, Jennifer, her husband and 3 kids, and featuring the guest star my boyfriend, Dan (who is now my husband). He would be meeting my entire family for the first time. After spending a week together on this trip we decided that we would move in together.
Age 32-Boo to You! My boyfriend and I decide to go back to Walt Disney World by ourselves during Halloween, our favorite time of year! He proposed to me in front of Cinderella's castle.
Age 34-Very Merry Christmas! My husband and I return to Disney World again. This time I am 26 weeks pregnant! We also were able to attend the D23's Magic and Merriment event. This was so awesome. Seeing I couldn't go on some of my favorite rides, this was the first time I ate my way through Disney.
Age 37- Boo to you (a reprise) I return to the World with my 2 year old son, David. Something magical did indeed happen. I feel like I got to know him better and learned that he loves to flirt with the princesses. We had a wonderful time trick or treating, and partying at the dance parties.
