Almost #DisneySide party time

I received free products in order to host the Disney Side @Home Celebrations. The opinions expressed here are my own.

I am only working a half day today so I can hurry home and put the final touches on our party, which is happening tomorrow afternoon. Considering we are having a little over 20 people over coming to our 2 bedroom apartment we need a ton of time to move furniture and de-clutter.
My family is super excited, although my soon to be 3 year old son is a little confused.  I told him we are having a party just to celebrate Disney.  He got upset and worried that he is not having a birthday party next month.  I assured him he is.  Now he thinks we are celebrating Mommy and Daddy's birthday tomorrow.  Ummmm okay he almost understands, but really we are just celebrating Disney.  My husband and I are huge Disney fans so it will be fun to share our fan geeky-ness with our friends.
The theme of the party is Fantasyland.  We will have an area that is Storybook circus theme including a small circus tent and play tunnel.  Our hallway will be transformed into Ariel's Undersea Adventure.
However we still have yet to begin this transformation.

Last night I completed our treat bags for the kids:

I got the idea from Pinterest.
and just tweeked it a little because our printer is old and on its last legs.

I can't wait to post more photos.  Keeping my fingers crossed for a very successful party.  My only wish is for everyone to have fun!

Disney Dreaming about all the different versions of "Let It Go"

In honor of today's snow storm I present all the viral versions of Let It Go!

My husband showed me this one over the weekend:
Christina Bianco sings 'Let It Go' from Frozen as Idina Menzel, Demi Lovato and other famous vocalists.

However I think this one is my personal favorite:

Let It Go - Frozen - Alex Boyé (Africanized Tribal Cover) Ft. One Voice Children's Choir

This one is fun too:

Disney's Frozen - "Let It Go" Multi-Language Full Sequence

And for good measure:
The original (my son's favorite)

And then there is Demi Lovato:

Walt Disney World's New Festival Fantasy Parade at Disney World

What a fun day for the Disney Dreamers out there!  All day at work I've been sneaking peaks of the preview of Disney's Festival of Fantasy parade on Instagram, Blogs and Pinterest . I know I should be working hard but when I eyes start to cross while looking at work emails, I like to fill my sight with pretty things.
 Like this Seashell Girl:
Or this Cha Cha Girl
I love the look of this parade!  It seems very innovated for Disney to incorporate such whimsical characters and steampunk imagery. I can't wait to see how the regular Disney players fit into this parade world.

Save Push did not work

I thought I would be writing a different follow-up to my Save Push post (in fact I did but I had to delete it).  According to cast members Push is permanently closed, due to a contract dispute.  I had faith that a Twitter campaign would work to save a Disney classic.  I guess social media can't even help save something like an expired contract.

Save Push

I am sad to hear the new Disney rumor about Push may be leaving Walt Disney World this weekend.  Our family experienced him for the first time on our last Disney trip in October.  My son loved him.  I never imaged my 2 year old dancing, and interacting with a talking trash can and loving it.  However after he experienced Push he was constantly checking other trashcans to see if they would talk. I would cringe every time he would try to shove his little hands in a can, causing Mommy to constantly use the hand sanitizer.  I do enjoy experiencing a Disney classic with the family.  Push has been around since 1995 in the Magic Kingdom. I have not heard rumors that Push would be retired in Disneyland. Why would Disney discontinue this classic? Does it have to do with budget slash?  I find that hard to believe.

Here's hoping the twitter campaign to save Push works! Follow #savePUSH on Twitter
